• DI[E]CE IS ABOUT MURDERGAMES. Chess-themed murdergames. And all the people in it are like AIs and it's all a crazy simulation it's very strange!


• Naoto was a murdergame player! He was a knight. Their session kind of went wrong and lots of people died and it eventually 'good ended' by... deleting everyone and resetting?


• Almost everyone involved wound up in Aather which is an amnesia team game! So they got a great second chance that wasn't being deleted!


• Unfortunately Aather has murdergames too. Its entire premise is also a war against an ALL-CONSUMING UNKNOWABLE HORROR just called the Darkness. So it wasn't ENTIRELY great and fluffy.


• Naoto grew as a person a lot in Aather! He gained a bit of a spine! He also got kind of bitter about continually having to kill people and a bit sarcastic and jaded.


• Eventually they lost their battle against the all-consuming unknowable horror and lots of people died in horrible ways. Naoto was one of them!



To sum up in paragraph form: Naoto was in murder games and then he (maybe) died (it's ambiguous) and then he came to amnesia fairytale land. He made lots of friends and also got a boyfriend but being thrown into murder games (... again) and having to kill people constantly (...again) made him less of a Good Boy and more of a sarcastic little brat who's bitter about everything. Eventually (in this AU) he got horribly killed when the darkness ate everything!

He's very gentle and kind to most people but also tends to distance himself from people! Aather made him simultaneously more outgoing and more shy— he'll be outwardly outgoing and smile and socialize but he's much more secretive and less inclined to open up to people. So basically he's a super fakey faker.

Being horribly devoured by a world-ending terror has left his emotions a little bit wonky, but he is still super sweet and he genuinely wants to help people a lot of the time! He just... he tries hard but has a difficult time connecting to people. He tries hard. :(b

objective: Mostly I just want to thread fluff. I want to thread fluff and cuddles and petting and holding hands and pretty much all my objectives are going to be a reflection of that! Maybe later I will want to add other objectives but right out the gate I just want to do fluff threads all the time because they're cute and I like cute and it's good for stress-reducing and I think it would be nice.
